Nurses & Animal Carers

Since qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in April 2007, Jade has worked in Oxfordshire, Lancashire, and Glasgow, and has now settled back home in Cumbria. She enjoys all aspects of the job, from meeting happy patients in reception, to nursing them through the tough times. As well as her nursing role, Jade is also one of our Clinical Coaches to the trainee nurses and is soon to be studying her own course, a Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care. Jades Border Terrier, Bracken, often accompanies her wherever she goes.

Jordan joined the Whitehaven team in September 2013 and recently achieved her diploma in veterinary nursing from Newton Rigg College. Jordan likes to socialise with friends and walk her Labrador Max.

Rebecca joined the practice in 2018 as a student and qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in July 2021. She enjoys particularly medical nursing and in patient care. She has a cat called Elliot who can be occasionally anti- social .

Georgia joined the Whitehaven team in September 2012 and is now a qualified pet groomer along with achieving a diploma in animal management from Newton Rigg college.  When not at work Georgia enjoys socialising with friends, art and walking her dogs Mia, Elsa, Dougie and Molly

Lorna joined the Whitehaven team in 2015, initially as an animal care assistant working in all areas of the surgery. After much dedication and hard work Lorna went on to study veterinary nursing through Myercough college, and became a registered veterinary nurse in January 2021.  In her spare time she enjoys going to the cinema and walking her dog Mitch

Amber trained with the practice throughout her Veterinary nursing degree and graduated from Myerscough college in 2022. She enjoys surgical nursing and is keen to continue her studies in this area. In her spare time she enjoys socialising, cooking and looking after her pet snake Charlie

Joanne joined our practice in October 2017 after qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in 2014. Growing up on a dairy farm inspired her interest in the large animal side of the practice. She enjoys socialising with friends and walking her dog Pip.

Beth has been with the practice since 2019 and is currently studying at Myerscough college whilst undertaking an apprenticeship in Veterinary nursing. She is due to qualify in 2023.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends as well as fell/beach walking with her 2 springer spaniels Coco and Dottie

Katie is part of the reception team at Whitehaven and is currently studying to become an animal nursing assistant in the hopes of becoming a vet nurse in the future. In her spare time she enjoys going away on holidays, socialising with friends and walking her dog Jake

Laurrie joined the practice in 2022, as a student Veterinary nurse she doing a vet nurse apprenticeship with Myerscough college. She has worked in mixed practice for the last 16 years. She enjoys spending time on the family farm and walking her dogs, Bud, Raz, Mist and Jess.

Evie joined the practice in 2023 as a student veterinary nurse and is currently completing a nursing apprenticeship at Myerscough College . So far she has been enjoying working with all the small pets, especially rabbits and guinea pigs. In her spare time, she enjoys showjumping with her pony, Disney, and walking her dog Harris as well as spending time with friends.
