Coronavirus

Coronavirus Update – 20th December  2021

We are now operating a normal service with all procedures and consultations undertaken. Our Surgery doors are open and we are consulting in the consulting rooms. We are conscious of the need to protect all clients and staff from uncecessary covid risk, as such we ask for all pets to be brought to the surgery by one person only, and for you to wear a facemask at all times. Hand sanitising facilities are available and we are undertaking a regular covid clean around the surgery. We are very grateful for your cooperation and would ask that you please do not attend the surgery if you are suffering from signs of covid, or are isolating for whatever reason. If in doubt , then please fell free to call the surgery to discuss with one of our receptionists or nurses.

Coronavirus Update – 15th January  2021

Following the latest advice from our governing body, we have made efforts to reduce the patients attending the surgery. As such, we have suspended dog grooming and the vaccination boosters for all pets until the national lockdown has been lifted. We also recommend, that in the spirit of only making essential trips from home, that other non essential/ non urgent examinations are left until the after the national lockdown is lifted.

We are still operating our service with closed doors, which is working well – so thank you for your patience.

Please call the surgery if you would like to arrange an appointment for an examination or vaccination for your pet. When you arrive at the surgery please phone the reception and advise us that you have arrived and let us know which car you are in. We would very much appreciate it if you could stay at your car with the engine turned off. We will come to your car and take your pet for their appointment and then return when complete. To make a payment, we would appreciate a phone payment after the consultation.

Regular medicines and flea and worm products can be ordered in advance and brought to your car by the same procedure.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) – 23rd March 2020

In view of the worsening situation in relation to coronavirus, we have been advised by the British Veterinary Association to take further action to reduce the spread of the virus:

With effect from Tuesday 24th March, we will be assessing the needs of each individual patient over the telephone. We would ask you to phone the surgery and speak to one of our receptionists – they will take your details. A vet or nurse will then call you back to discuss your pet’s health problem, if we need to perform an examination then we will ask you to attend the surgery. You will then need to call the reception once you have arrived in the car park and a member of staff will come to pick up your pet to take it into the surgery.

For routine treatments, which are not urgent, we will discuss with you the options including postponing the vaccine / treatment / procedure as appropriate.

If you are in isolation due to a contact with an infected person or if you have coronavirus infection yourself or if you are feeling unwell then PLEASE tell us so that we can advise on the necessary precautions to avoid further spread of the virus

Our aim is to have no clients in the surgery building – thus reducing the chance of spread of infection in the waiting room or consultation room.

For those clients, including farmers, who would like to order some medications then please call the surgery as usual to place your order. If you need some advice about your medicine requirements then please leave your details and a vet will call you back to discuss. You can collect your medicines by coming to our car park and we will bring them out to meet you.
